MICHAEL F. O'LAUGHLIN
 
Mr. O’Laughlin is a chairman / speaker at various conferences on China-related legal and business matters hosted by various organizations, including Stanford University, World Trade Institute (New York), Council for International Tax Education, Atlas, and University of Salzburg (Austria). Since 1993, Mr. O’Laughlin has been chairman and speaker at programs relating to Chinese law and taxation at annual programs organized by the Council for Tax Education (previously World Trade Institute) and Atlas. He was a Visiting Professor of Law at Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade, fall semester 1980. Mr. O’Laughlin is a member of the State Bar of California and he is a member of the International Aviation Law Institute of De Paul Law School in Chicago.

Mr. O’Laughlin received his undergraduate degree cum laude in Chinese Language and Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and his law degree magna cum laude (Order of the Coif) from Indiana University, Bloomington. Mr. O’Laughlin is bi-lingual in Mandarin Chinese, having commenced the study of Chinese in high school. His experience included practice with major law firms in San Francisco and Tokyo prior to establishing the firm in 1980.
