Aviation
O’Laughlin has been particularly active in the aviation sector in China. Its most notable early work was to act as advisor to a large airline company of the United States in connection with China aspects of its purchase of Pan Am Asia Pacific routes in 1986. Since then, it has been active in various aspects of aviation. |

Automotive
O’Laughlin has been active in the automotive area. O’Laughlin was chief outside advisor to a large automobile company relating to the establishment of its Shanghai automobile assembly joint venture in 1984, and its Changchun, Jilin Province (Manchuria) automobile assembly joint venture in 1990. O’Laughlin has provided on going advice in relation to miscellaneous issues.
In addition, O’Laughlin has assisted numbers of automobile components companies in various capacities.

Rail Transport
In the course of its work in China, O’Laughlin also acted in the area of railroads. It has advised a rail consortium in its work for the Ministry of Railways to improve its containerized rail traffic. It has also assisted leasing companies in projects relating to China. |
